Silk Inden〈Nishijin-ori + Urushi Lacquer〉 | Framed Wall Art | Glow
Silk Inden〈Nishijin-ori + Urushi Lacquer〉 | Framed Wall Art | Glow
This wall art is made from an exclusive material: Kyoto Nishijin-ori embellished with Urushi lacquer using the Inden technique.
Its defining feature is the contrast between the delicate sheen of silk thread and the lustrous relief of the lacquer. As the angle and intensity of light change, the raised surface casts deep shadows and brings an elegant, distinctive presence to the wall.
Meticulous craftsmanship by Japanese artisans enhances the richness of the material. The lacquer’s subtly smooth feel completes a work of art designed to engage the senses.
